FORESTRY

VIH Helicopters has been providing expertise in the forestry sector for over three decades, serving an ever-expanding clientele within the heli-logging industry, utilizing a combination of both Kamov and Sikorsky heavy-lift helicopters.

POWER LINE
CONSTRUCTION

Our aircraft are able to transport all materials required for power line construction, including towers, cables, crew, and more. By moving materials and working by helicopter, we help minimize environmental impact and reduce cost of construction.

PIPE LINE
CONSTRUCTION

Our aircraft work around the world, bringing heavy equipment into terrain that is inaccessible or difficult for ground machinery. All of our helicopters are supported by a complete crew of aviation experts and aircraft maintenance engineers.

HYDROELECTRIC
PROJECT CONSTRUCTION

Our 5000-kilogram capacity allows us to carry heavy equipment safely into regions with little to no access. Our aircrafts make developing new projects and maintaining existing ones easier and more cost-effective.

WILDFIRE SUPPRESSION

VIH Helicopters provide access to water sources otherwise unavailable to ground equipment or planes. When time is crucial, our aircraft gets the job done with precision and freedom of movement.

VIH Helicopters have successfully developed a technologically advanced power fill bucket for utilization with their fleet of Sikorsky S61 helicopters.

The S-92 Fire Raptor platform brings a unique combination of firefighting power, precision, and mission-ready flexibility. Equipped with a 5,000-litre (1,320 US gallon) Helitak carbon fibre retractable belly tank, the aircraft can complete rapid 48-second hover fills for exceptional turnaround speed. Its precision multi-drop system allows for highly accurate and efficient fireline control, while the aircraft remains fully adaptable for wildfire suppression, crew transport, and cargo operations.

The aircraft also offers outstanding range and more than four hours of endurance, allowing extended operational coverage during demanding wildfire conditions. In addition, the S-92 can transport up to 19 firefighters for rapid front-line deployment and provides extensive internal and external cargo capabilities to support evolving operational requirements.

From a safety and operational standpoint, the platform incorporates advanced avionics, NVG-compatible cockpits, Health and Usage Monitoring Systems (HUMS), and Flight Data Monitoring (FDM) standards typically associated with large transport-category rotorcraft, helping ensure the highest levels of operational reliability and situational awareness.

OIL AND GAS
EXPLORATION RIG MOVES

Getting into areas where there are no roads requires special aircraft. Our heavy lift helicopters are the safest, most accurate way to explore, with the capacity to carry both equipment and aircraft maintenance engineers into remote regions.

DISASTER RELIEF CANADIAN
FORCES DART SUPPLIER

When disasters happen, it’s important to have the ability to navigate with precision and speed in difficult situations. Our aircraft are proudly used to save lives and provide relief for individuals and communities in need.
